System architecture
We design the bones — block diagrams, interface contracts, and component selection — so the rest of the build sits on solid ground.
Embedded systems consultancy
Bitmask helps companies bring connected hardware to market — from system architecture and rapid prototyping through to production-ready firmware and automated test rigs.
What we do
From silicon to cloud — the same team that designs your PCB writes the firmware that runs on it and the software that talks to it.
We design the bones — block diagrams, interface contracts, and component selection — so the rest of the build sits on solid ground.
Production firmware on Zephyr, nRF Connect SDK, and bare-metal — sensor pipelines, BLE/Wi-Fi/LTE-M stacks, OTA, and power-aware scheduling.
From breadboard to manufacturable PCB in KiCad — RF layout, EMC-aware routing, DFM, and BOM strategies for resilient supply.
Companion mobile, desktop, and web apps; cloud back-ends and dashboards that turn device data into something a customer can use.
Off-the-shelf modules and 3D-printed enclosures to validate a product idea quickly — investor-ready demos in weeks, not quarters.
Production-line and lab test fixtures with custom firmware, instrumentation, and reports — so every unit ships proven, not assumed.
Selected work
A snapshot of recent engagements across consumer, industrial, and agricultural markets. Many under NDA — get in touch for specifics.
A battery-powered BLE sensor designed for multi-year operation in industrial environments. We owned the schematic, PCB, Zephyr firmware, secure OTA, and gateway-to-cloud bridge — from prototype through production.
An off-grid gateway built for harsh agricultural deployment — solar-powered, weatherproof, and tolerant of extreme temperatures. LoRaWAN downstream, LTE-M backhaul, and Linux-based edge software with store-and-forward.
A long-range Bluetooth dongle supporting LE Audio and Auracast, built around the nRF5340 + nRF21540 RF front-end for up to 4 km range outdoors. We designed the hardware, firmware, and production test rig.
Tech stack
A pragmatic, well-supported stack — picked because it's what production teams actually use.
