Overview
The BMPC100 is a pax / people-counting device that estimates the number of people in a space by passively scanning the WiFi and Bluetooth® LE signals emitted by nearby smartphones, wearables, and laptops. It counts devices rather than tracking individuals, so no personal data is captured.
A smart on-device algorithm separates "static" devices that are part of the fixed infrastructure from the mobile devices carried by people. That gives a far more accurate occupancy estimate than raw packet counts alone.
Four dedicated pax counters scan multiple channels in parallel, so counts stay fast and accurate even in busy spaces.
Flexible connectivity and power make it easy to deploy almost anywhere. LTE-M and Ethernet are offered as separate product SKUs so the hardware cost can be optimised to the use case, and the device can be powered over Ethernet (PoE), over USB-C with USB-PD, or from a 5–12 V terminal input.
